Nova Twins - Live in Photographs
The Parasites & Butterflies UK/EU 2026 Tour from the Nova Twins, with support from VENUS GRRRLS and BEX kicked of it’s start at Brighton CHALK with an energetic and entrancing start on Friday 13th March. A packed out audience, eagerly anticipating their set lined the streets before doors and then rushed in to claim their spaces, with most going as close to the front as possible. A full line up of female artist’s owned the stage throughout the night, each giving the audience something different yet hooking them in all the same.
BEX, a young upcoming artist who runs to the beat of her own drums. Being the first person on stage for the start of the tour set’s a tone immediately, you’re opening the show and warming everyone up, all while not knowing how anyone is going to respond to you. BEX stepped onto stage and with the confidence of someone headlining, put on a show and got people to pay attention and start moving from the offset. Onstage they filled the space, from moving and even slow dancing while performing during parts, and then following it stage diving into the audience. BEX is making a splash in the scene and capturing more and more people’s attention with her shows and social media all the time, so check them out and here is the photo gallery!
BEX consisted of BEX herself, drummer Evan Mansell and bassist Josh Paine, with a great crew of photographer and videographer Richard Mukuze and their wonderful merch provider Theresa along with all the lighting and sound techs I sadly can’t name, but make the show possible. VENUS GRRRLS stepped onto stage on a Friday night and held nothing back. Confident and calling the shots, when they arrived everyone stopped and looked. Just after everyone was starting to recover from BEX, Alt Rock powerhouses VENUS GRRRLS took over the stage and delivered a spellbinding performance, leaving us hooked and reeling, from old fans to new. The all female led group upped the adrenaline, with strong hooks and memorable songs from one listen, all while captivating everyone with their stage show. VENUS GRRRLS are only going up and up for a reason! Opening with their powerful latest release 3×3, showing off every one of their musical talents, from a heavy start, catchy hook and chorus, beautifully balanced bridge and then strong compounding ending. The set was eight songs long, but showed off VENUS GRRLS at their very best.
VENUS GRRLS are lead singer GK , Lead Guitarist Eliza Lee, Bassist Hannah Barraclough, Synth Grace Stubbings with drummer Alannagh Doherty.
Nova Twins crew then then hit the stage, showing off the custom Mashall Amp Stacks with a black and white butterfly proudly displayed. They then brought out microphone stands which were draped intricately with black roses, as to mirror the giant white roses which now flanked the stage.
Then with a bang, Nova Twins came out and with fans hanging onto every note they struck out. The signature bass heavy tones alongside iconic vocals harmonised together to kick off the Parasites & Butterflies 2026 tour. With the crowd and their own energy feeding each other, it was a non stop set of newer songs balanced with fan favourites. Singer and guitarist Amy Love and bassist and singer Georgia South, accompanied by drummer Luke Campbell lit up the night on stage, with their guitar tech / stage hand always at the ready.
Despite only having the two nova twins themselves moving on the stage, they filled it up immediately and even made it look to small containing them. The energy and room became electric, filling with the powerful tones of their genre bending music from one song to the next. Mosh pits were formed, then expanded, with both joining fans in the centre, fans all around with them as the eye of the storm. Following this they found their way back on stage, with energy on the floor noticeably needing a recharge after the heavy hitters and mayhem that had just taken place.
With quick instrument changes, short transitions between songs, and constant energy on Nova Twins end, the set started to wind down with a brief break before the encore took place. Returning to stage they followed by thanking everyone for coming out to support live music in this climate with technology and attention spans, before kicking straight back into the punk anthems that made them famous in the first place.
